Hard to believe that living my life so close to Yankees Stadium (and being friends with Emily and Tshepo) I have NEVER been to a MLB game… but it’s true! So we decided to attend the last San Diego Padres home game of the season vs. the Colorado Rockies.

I finished up a day of work at the office, and Dave took the Coaster down to meet me at Petco Stadium. I was so excited all day! And while it’s true the Padres have not had their best season, it was still going to be a fun night.

Who can beat FREE TICKETS? Yup, free. Nosebleed, of course, but free nonetheless. More $$ to spend on $10 beers 🙂

We goofed around in the nosebleed section until we discovered that it was possible to sneak ourselves into a lower section… my conscience had trouble coping with this fact, but it ended up being great… and we got a good view for the remainder of the game. And we got a good view of the Friar, the Padres mascot!

The Padres won the game 4-3! Time to celebrate… and how do Dave and Laura celebrate?

PIZZA of course…!

We went to the Basic Bar/Pizza and had an amazing half pepperoni/garlic and half cheese pizza! It was amazing… and it lasted all of 10 minutes 🙂
